This luxury cabin was completed in 2012 and is located in an exclusive area of Äkäslompolo village - part of the winter resort of Ylläs.

The cabin was designed and built by the owners of "Above the Arctic" and sits on a plot of land which is natural forest. To the rear the land backs on to forest with excellent views to the mountains, fells and downhill ski runs.

A private drive leads to a parking area with winter electrical points for four vehicles.

The cabin has four bedrooms, all with luxury fitted en-suite bathrooms and a large sauna with separate shower room. There is also an indoor ski-wax facility with log storage and logs provided for the log fire.

In the rear lobby, there is a washing machine and wine cooler.

A fully fitted luxury kitchen includes a Smeg refrigerator and range and there is also a heated clothes drying cupboard in the front lobby.

Cross country ski tracks start just outside the cabin, and the bus stop for the regular ski-bus to the downhill ski facility is around 200m from the cabin.

WHO WE ARE

In the winter of 2003 we took our family on a ski holiday to Akaslompolo in Finnish Lapland to go skiing and see Santa. Upon visiting this resort we all fell in love with it and decided we wanted to visit every year. This resulted in us buying our first log cabin in Akaslompolo and we haven't stopped since. We quickly noticed there was a lack of accommodation available to foreign tourists and in 2006 took it upon ourselves to start renting and selling property to British and European clients for ski holidays, adventure holidays and even hiking and nature holidays in the summer.

In 2007, we took the plunge and decided to move to Akaslompolo permanently. We lived there for three years bringing our children up in the cold, dark winters and the midnight sun of the summers, firmly cementing our belief in how magical a place Akaslompolo is.

Realising there was a lack of luxury cabins in the resort, in 2010 we embarked on a project to build our own log cabin to a hotel standard with en-suites in all bedrooms

Since then we have been running our lettings through our other business Trinity Construction. This allows us to deal with lettings professionally and efficiently.

Finnish Lapland is truly an extraordinary place and we are excited to offer this fantastic cabin in one of the most magical places on the planet.
