During Christmas 2002, Colin Brunt, a Chartered Surveyor, took his family on holiday to Lapland in search of Santa Claus. They discovered the enchanting resort of Ylläs and the following summer returned to find a log cabin for themselves.

Colin wanted to give others the opportunity to invest in their own property in Lapland.  With the help of local Finnish businesses, abovethearctic, estate agents specialising in Finnish property, was established and offers apartments and log cabins for sale or rent in Northern Finland.
