Investments in Ruka
- More than ten thousand m² of new accommodation space in Ruka central square within the next three years
- Rukakeskus and Oulun Rakennusteho; one small hotel and two apartment hotels; will be sold to private investors
- Lapland Hotels is planning two apartment hotels
- Rukahovi will experience two expansions, plus a new "spa & sauna world"; for which there will be a budget of 20-25 million Euros, building to commence in early 2008
- Rukakeskus and Lapland Hotels' first stage plans will increase the number of beds in the centre 1,500 to 3,500

Growth in Northern Finland
- Skiing centers in North-Finland are expecting this winter season to be the most profitable skiing season ever, based on the beginning of the season
- Because of the snow situation in South-Finland, Ylläs-Ski experienced an increase of tickets sales by 55% in the beginning of January, Pyhä with 41% and Ruka 10% compared to previous season
- The number of Russian visitors has surprised all skiing centers in North-Finland, going more international is a good thing - all skiing centers say
