Hamn i Senja
Arctic Seahouse Apartments
Hamn i Senja (translated as harbour) acquired its name back in the 17th century when its settlers lived on fish. However, the 21st century is set to make this sleepy resort the next exciting investment opportunity above the arctic circle.
Located half way between the Arctic Circle and North Cape, Hamn I Senja, is a traditional, beautifully preserved, fishing village on the island of Senja in the Arctic Ocean featuring spectacular sea views one way and fjords and mountains to the other. More about the resort . . .

The Resort
Set on the island of Senja, from your shoreside cabin on stilts you can enjoy the wide expanse of ocean, clean air and sea breeze. The island is more than just sea views, with majestic mountains also waiting to be explored featuring ruggid landscape, lakes and wildlife.
Not yet discovered by the crowds, the area surrounding Hamn i Senja is bountiful with Arctic wildlife including birds (such as sea eagles), bears, moose, reindeer, dolphins and various species of whale, making Norway an Arctic investment location with a difference.
The resort is set to feature a hotel and seawater spa which will undoubfully make the most of its surrounding environment.
Senja is well known for its local craftsmen, including potters, wood carvers, seal products, a pewter smithy, and the world's largest troll (registered in the Guinness Book of Records at 17.96 metres high and weighing in at 125,000kg).
Activies in the region include moutain trekking, dog-sledding and whale safaris. Fishing is also extremely popular in both summer and winter for salmon, sea trout and Arctic Char - just remember to purchase a fishing licence.
